"No," Alluka frowns, "I left him behind when I followed the fox. He was showing me the world, and the fox offered to show me a whole other world. It was too tempting."
She gives Geto a smile, though, because she has people here. "I live with Zechs! He saved me from the swamp, and he's very serious about taking good care of me." She leans in close and whispers, "I take care of him too." Like it's a secret.
Alluka nods. She knows she's always had someone look after her, and she much prefers it like this, doing things together. "I'm glad you and Gojo are looking after each other too," Alluka says, "That's very good. I come and check on him, but it makes me feel better knowing you're here."
"Nope, he bought it with Lore!" Alluka agrees. Gojo admitted as much himself. It doesn't make the cake any less delicious because he still got it while thinking of her. She appreciates people thinking of her and doing nice things. Cooking appreciated but not required.
"Mmhmm, but you deserve a bed. My parents always made sure I had a bed. And lots of stuffed animals."
"More comfortable when someone else is here," Alluka says. She's not trying to make a comment about Geto and Gojo. She wasn't ready to be left in an apartment like that. It wasn't like when Zechs left the boat.
"Oh that would be cramped if you were both asleep," Alluka agrees. "I like sleeping with my head in someone's lap though. It's really nice and feels safe. There'd be enough room for that."
Alluka gives Geto a look. Parents? "I've never done that with my parents," Alluka says. She can't imagine it. They didn't even come into her room. "I mean Big Brother."
She blows a raspberry as she thinks about it. "I don't think so. Not in my family. I wouldn't sleep near Big Brother Il. Malluki or Kalluto would be okay." She has a lot of brothers. "Big Brother is best. He's not here, but there's Sharon and Zechs and Gojo and now you."
Alluka nods and eats another of the fresh riceballs. They really are quite good.
"If I'd known you were here, I would've brought the taffy I made when I met Gojo," Alluka says, "It's strawberry flavored and gave him cat ears. I wonder what it'd give you." She points at him. "If you were an animal, what would you be?"
"It's salt water taffy," she offers. It has salt in the name, though she doesn't think it tastes very salty. She picks up a riceball and offers it to him since it isn't sweet.
The idea of what animal Geto would be is a serious one, and Alluka wants to get it right. He's far more serious than Gojo, but it's not as simple as a cat/dog thing. (Though in some ways he reminds her of her family's guard dogs.) He's serious and filled with love and other emotions and takes care of people and cooks.
"I think you'd be a dragon," Alluka settles on. "Loyal and fierce and strong."
"Finish your riceballs and we can go up to the roof and you can see one." He doesn't normally do this, but it's not like he didn't upset the girl earlier.

She glances over at the couch. She had a lot of time on it. "I hope you aren't going to keep sleeping on the couch. That isn't very good for you."

"It's comfortable enough for the time being. I get enough sleep."

"Have you ever seen a dragon?"

"Only in storybooks," she admits, "but I know they're real."
